In case you’re wondering what is up with some of the names of these backgrounds, here’s a disappointing explanation:

When making these backgrounds, I typically start with a multi-layered Photoshop document or After Effects Comp. At this point, the document gets a one-word name. Then I take that Photoshop file or Comp and make it all move-y and cool looking-y. After a bunch of effects and movements, I tack on another adjective to describe the background.

I may use the same Photoshop file or Comp to create several, wildly different backgrounds, so this naming scheme helps me keep track of what came from where. Also, it struck me as kind of cool.

Most of the words are chosen based on pure whimsy, so I wouldn’t advise trying to make sense of them. Just enjoy the pretty colors.
